De caribe en Silla now electricity problems
Hier à 11h du soir Eoin a enfourché son vélo pour aller osculter le plafond de la voisine!! Alors je vous arrête tout de suite bande de vicieux, seulement le plafond. Bon bref, en tous cas, il y avait bien une fuite dans notre cuisine. Eoin et le copain de la voisine ont donc coupé l'eau. Ce midi avec les ouvriers, nous avons identifié les problème. Finalement cela va sécher normalement rapidement et il y a juste le siphon et quelques tuyaux à changer. Et un problème de réglé! Et puis autant mettre dès maintenant une tuyauterie neuve, ce n'est pas perdu.
Donc tout juste quand je pensais avoir pointé au passage obligatoire des petites catastrophes, je tombe de caribe en silla. J'apprends en discutant un peu au sujet de l'électricité que l'installation a bien été refaite avec des cables à 3 fils, donc pour un accès à la terre, mais que la liaison n'a pas été faite.... AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH. A bientôt pour de nouvelles aventures...
Yesterday at 11pm Eoin jumped onto his bike to check out our neighbours ceiling. Only the ceiling! Water was dripping through her ceiling from our kitchen into her sitting room! So Eoin and the neighbours's boy friend cut the water. At lunch with the builders we identified the problem and it should dry rapidly, there was just the siphon and a few pipes to change. One problem solved! And changing the plumbing below the sink is not that bad of an idea.
But just as this was solved, I discovered that the electricity had not been earthed!!! I tell you, from Carribe to Silla! Again it ended up not being that bad. They actually re-did most of the electricity of the flat in the past weeks, including computer room, bathroom and kitchen (the most important) with new wires (3 threads) allowing it to be earthed quite easily. At one point I thought we had to re-open the walls...
Aaaaaaahhhhh fuite chez la voisine / Leakage
Hier soir deux appels de la voisine!!!! Au premier il y avait des tâches jaunes sur son plafond. Au second de l'eau coulait dans son salon. Et oui il nous fallait bien une petite catastrophe. Ben la voilà!! Plus d'infos au prochain épisode.
Yesterday evening we got two calls from the neighbour. At the first one there were yellow stains appearing on her ceiling. At the second water had started leaking. I guess we needed a catastrophe at some point :o) Water is now cut, more information this evening.

Délicieuses soupes / Delicious soups
La semaine dernière on a acheté un mixeur et depuis je n'arrête pas de faire des soupes. Donc voilà j'ai décidé d'ajouter une rubrique à ce blog et de partager mes recettes et conseils. Autant le dire tout de suite, je suis pratiquement incapable de suivre une recette. Je préfére faire des essais et développer un sens pour les proportions et saveurs.
Tant que j'y suis, si vous habitez ou visitez Amsterdam et êtes aussi amateurs de soupe, je vous recommande chaudement Soup en Zo au coin de Kerkstraat et nieuw Spiegelstraat.
Last week we bought a mixer and since then I can't stop cooking soups. So I decided add a category to this blog and share recipes and tips. I might as well say it now, I'm almost enable to follow a recipe. I prefer to follow my instinct and develop a sens for proportion and flavours.
While I'm at it, if you visit Amsterdam and are also keen on yumy soups, I warmly recommend Soup en Zo at the corner of Kerkstraat and nieuw Spiegelstraat.
